Ways To Make An Extra Bit Of Money Online

Whether you’re between jobs, a student, or would just like a bit of extra spending money, there are plenty of ways to make a bit of extra cash online. It’s easy to do so why not join in?

Declutter!

Have a look around your home for things you no longer use or need, then put it on Ebay. Make sure you research the item online beforehand to check the highest prices and you could be surprised. There are many pages online that offer tips and tricks to successfully selling on Ebay and similar auction sites that will ensure you get maximum coverage and get the best possible price for your item. If you’re a regular at car boot sales and auctions and have a good eye, you could also buy cheap items and sell them for more on Ebay.

Ebay usually charges a small fee to list your item, but look out for their frequent ‘free listing’ weekends and days.

Sell Your Old Gadgets

If you have a few old mobile phones, mp3 players or other gadgets lying around, you could make hundreds of pounds by selling them to certain websites who recycle them. Before you put your gadgets on Ebay, check with these sites first, as you may get a lot more from recycling them with a gadget site than selling them. Some high-end phones can get you somewhere around £200.

Simply go to a site, look up your gadget and make sure you compare the prices of different companies before you sell it.

Cashback Sites

If you spend a lot of time shopping online, it may be worth signing up to a cashback website that gives you a small percentage of your money back every time you make a purchase. Some sites will also pay you to click links or fill in surveys online. The pay you get is minimal, but if you spend a lot of time online, this can really add up over the course of a month. Online websites looking for focus groups and mystery shoppers can also help you earn a little bit of extra cash, sometimes a few hundred pounds for focus groups.

To get the most out of survey sites, it is extremely helpful to have a fast internet connection, such as fibre broadband. This will allow the pages to load much faster, so you can get through them quicker and make more money.

Freelance Work

Freelance work can also add up if you have a specific skill. Writing is particularly lucrative, and there are many websites who will buy your writing. Again, if you’re a quick writer and good at building up contacts, this kind of work can add up to at least the same as a minimum wage job, and may lead you to more work in the future.

All of these ways are great ways to make money online without gambling your cash, but remember that you need to declare extra earnings to HM Revenue and Customs.
